Last week, I almost walked away.

Between the pressure, the self doubt, the tech, the cost, and just the sheer weight of it all, I found myself saying: “How could you do this to yourself?”

But I didn’t quit. Something inside me wouldn’t let me. And that “something” is what led me to share this with you. It starts with a woman named Vivian Maier.

She was a nanny who quietly took over 150,000 street photos in the ’50s and ’60s—brilliant, soulful images no one saw while she was alive. After she passed, someone discovered her negatives in an auction box, and now her work hangs in museums around the world.

She never shared it. Never tried to be seen. She just did the work—because she had to.

And when I watched her story, I cried. I’m not comparing myself to her talent. But I understand her.

Like her, I’ve kept going—creating, teaching, filming—even when no one saw it. Even when broken tech or fear or burnout kept me from doing it “right.” And even though I felt like quitting last week, I didn’t.

Instead, I shared something from the archives because I knew it could help.

It’s called “Anchored”—and it’s about the hidden ways our stuff keeps us stuck, and how letting go can finally set us free, but not only that, it gives insight that helps you to let go with greater ease than you believed you could.

👉 Watch Anchored here

It’s about…

  • The fear we hide behind our “sentimental” stuff
  • How clutter keeps us anchored to a version of life we’ve outgrown
  • Why letting go of things can help us finally move forward

It’s 40 minutes, and you can treat it like a podcast—listen while folding laundry or going for a walk.

And if you haven’t seen the other video yet—“I Almost Quit This Week—But You’re the Reason I Didn’t”—that one’s here too. It started as an email, became a blog, and then I decided to read it aloud because I needed you to hear it from me.

I’m not trying to be dramatic. I’m just being real.

This work has helped women save relationships, regain their homes, rebuild after loss, and finally see that they’re not broken. That they’re not lazy or hopeless or beyond help.

That’s what keeps me here. That’s why I’m still showing up.

I don’t want to be famous. I just want this work to be findable—and sustainable—so I can keep doing it.

If this resonates, I’d love to hear what you think.

💛
Kathy
